Аннотация.  Фокус внимания статьи сосредоточен на анализе ключевых

 факторов и событий, сформировавших в середине — конце 1960-х гг.

 качественно новый характер американо-саудовских отношений. Автор

изучает эволюцию внешнеполитического курса США на Ближнем Востоке в

 период работы администрации Л. Джонсона и реализацию двуединой

 внешней политики с опорой на Саудовскую Аравию и Израиль.

Abstract. The article is devoted to analysis of key events and political factors that

 formed brand — new strategic ties between US and Saudi Arabia in mid — late

 1960s. The author puts in focus the evolution of US foreign policy in the Middle

 East region during L.Johnson administration years and the implementation process

 of a two 3 pillar US foreign policy based on building of relations both with Saudi

 Arabia and Israel.
